MY delight is in the LORD; * because he hath heard the voice of my prayer;
 
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me; * therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
 
The snares of death compassed me round about, * and the pains of hell gat hold upon me.
 
I found trouble and heaviness; then called I upon the Name of the LORD; * O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
 
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; * yea, our God is merciful.
 
The LORD preserveth the simple: * I was in misery, and he helped me.
 
Turn again then unto thy rest, O my soul; * for the LORD hath rewarded thee.
 
And why? thou hast delivered my soul from death, * mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
 
I will walk before the LORD * in the land of the living.
 
I believed, and therefore will I speak; but I was sore troubled: * I said in my haste, All men are liars.
 
What reward shall I give unto the LORD * for all the benefits that he hath done unto me?
 
I will receive the cup of salvation, * and call upon the Name of the LORD.
 
I will pay my vows now in the presence of all his people: * right dear in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
 
Behold, O LORD, how that I am thy servant; * I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid; thou hast broken my bonds in sunder.
 
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, * and will call upon the Name of the LORD.
 
I will pay my vows unto the LORD, in the sight of all his people, * in the courts of the LORD'S house; even in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

O PRAISE the LORD, all ye nations; * praise him, all ye peoples.
 
For his merciful kindness is ever more and more toward us; * and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise the LORD.

For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places. Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me. Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me. Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places. The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me, And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name. He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide. Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand. And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes, And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

O GOD, the King of glory, who hast exalted thine only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph unto thy kingdom in heaven; We beseech thee, leave us not comfortless; but send to us thine Holy Ghost to comfort us, and exalt us unto the same place whither our Saviour Christ is gone before, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the same Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.
