GOD is our hope and strength, * a very present help in trouble.
 
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved, * and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea;
 
Though the waters thereof rage and swell, * and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same.
 
There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God; * the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most Highest.
 
God is in the midst of her, therefore shall she not be removed; * God shall help her, and that right early.
 
The nations make much ado, and the kingdoms are moved; * but God hath showed his voice, and the earth shall melt away.
 
The LORD of hosts is with us; * the God of Jacob is our refuge.
 
O come hither, and behold the works of the LORD, * what destruction he hath brought upon the earth.
 
He maketh wars to cease in all the world; * he breaketh the bow, and knappeth the spear in sunder, and burneth the chariots in the fire.
 
Be still then, and know that I am God: * I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth.
 
The LORD of hosts is with us; * the God of Jacob is our refuge.

LORD, thou art become gracious unto thy land; * thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.
 
Thou hast forgiven the offence of thy people, * and covered all their sins.
 
Thou hast taken away all thy displeasure, * and turned thyself from thy wrathful indignation.
 
Turn us then, O God our Saviour, * and let thine anger cease from us.
 
Wilt thou be displeased at us for ever? * and wilt thou stretch out thy wrath from one generation to another?
 
Wilt thou not turn again, and quicken us, * that thy people may rejoice in thee?
 
Show us thy mercy, O LORD, * and grant us thy salvation.
 
I will hearken what the LORD God will say; * for he shall speak peace unto his people, and to his saints, that they turn not again unto foolishness.
 
For his salvation is nigh them that fear him; * that glory may dwell in our land.
 
Mercy and truth are met together: * righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
 
Truth shall flourish out of the earth, * and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.
 
Yea, the LORD shall show loving-kindness; * and our land shall give her increase.
 
Righteousness shall go before him, * and shall direct his going in the way.

And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord our God hath commanded you? Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: And the Lord shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

O GOD, our refuge and strength, who art the author of all godliness; Be ready, we beseech thee, to hear the devout prayers of thy Church; and grant that those things which we ask faithfully we may obtain effectually; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O ALMIGHTY God, who hast knit together thine elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mystical body of thy Son Christ our Lord; Grant us grace so to follow thy blessed Saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys which thou hast prepared for those who unfeignedly love thee; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
