MY delight is in the LORD; * because he hath heard the voice of my prayer;
 
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me; * therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
 
The snares of death compassed me round about, * and the pains of hell gat hold upon me.
 
I found trouble and heaviness; then called I upon the Name of the LORD; * O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
 
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; * yea, our God is merciful.
 
The LORD preserveth the simple: * I was in misery, and he helped me.
 
Turn again then unto thy rest, O my soul; * for the LORD hath rewarded thee.
 
And why? thou hast delivered my soul from death, * mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
 
I will walk before the LORD * in the land of the living.
 
I believed, and therefore will I speak; but I was sore troubled: * I said in my haste, All men are liars.
 
What reward shall I give unto the LORD * for all the benefits that he hath done unto me?
 
I will receive the cup of salvation, * and call upon the Name of the LORD.
 
I will pay my vows now in the presence of all his people: * right dear in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
 
Behold, O LORD, how that I am thy servant; * I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid; thou hast broken my bonds in sunder.
 
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, * and will call upon the Name of the LORD.
 
I will pay my vows unto the LORD, in the sight of all his people, * in the courts of the LORD'S house; even in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

WHOSO dwelleth under the defence of the Most High, * shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
 
I will say unto the LORD, Thou art my hope, and my stronghold; * my God, in him will I trust.
 
For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the hunter, * and from the noisome pestilence.
 
He shall defend thee under his wings, and thou shalt be safe under his feathers; * his faithfulness and truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
 
Thou shalt not be afraid for any terror by night, * nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
 
For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, * nor for the sickness that destroyeth in the noon-day.
 
A thousand shall fall beside thee, and ten thousand at thy right hand; * but it shall not come nigh thee.
 
Yea, with thine eyes shalt thou behold, * and see the reward of the ungodly.
 
For thou, LORD, art my hope; * thou hast set thine house of defence very high.
 
There shall no evil happen unto thee, * neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
 
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, * to keep thee in all thy ways.
 
They shall bear thee in their hands, * that thou hurt not thy foot against a stone.
 
Thou shalt go upon the lion and adder: * the young lion and the dragon shalt thou tread under thy feet.
 
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; * I will set him up, because he hath known my Name.
 
He shall call upon me, and I will hear him; * yea, I am with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and bring him to honour.
 
With long life will I satisfy him, * and show him my salvation.

I WILL magnify thee, O God, my King; * and I will praise thy Name for ever and ever.
 
Every day will I give thanks unto thee; * and praise thy Name for ever and ever.
 
Great is the LORD, and marvellous worthy to be praised; * there is no end of his greatness.
 
One generation shall praise thy works unto another, * and declare thy power.
 
As for me, I will be talking of thy worship, * thy glory, thy praise, and wondrous works;
 
So that men shall speak of the might of thy marvellous acts; * and I will also tell of thy greatness.
 
The memorial of thine abundant kindness shall be showed; * and men shall sing of thy righteousness.
 
The LORD is gracious and merciful; * long-suffering, and of great goodness.
 
The LORD is loving unto every man; * and his mercy is over all his works.
 
All thy works praise thee, O LORD; * and thy saints give thanks unto thee.
 
They show the glory of thy kingdom, * and talk of thy power;
 
That thy power, thy glory, and mightiness of thy kingdom, * might be known unto men.
 
Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, * and thy dominion endureth throughout all ages.
 
The LORD upholdeth all such as fall, * and lifteth up all those that are down.
 
The eyes of all wait upon thee, O Lord; * and thou givest them their meat in due season.
 
Thou openest thine hand, * and fillest all things living with plenteousness.
 
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, * and holy in all his works.
 
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him; * yea, all such as call upon him faithfully.
 
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him; * he also will hear their cry, and will help them.
 
The LORD preserveth all them that love him; * but scattereth abroad all the ungodly.
 
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; * and let all flesh give thanks unto his holy Name for ever and ever.

And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

And now therefore thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. For thus saith the Lord; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him. The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

O LORD, we beseech thee, let thy continual pity cleanse and defend thy Church; and, because it cannot continue in safety without thy succour, preserve it evermore by thy help and goodness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
