Dominus regnavit.
THE LORD is King, and hath put on glorious apparel;

He hath made the round world so sure,
* that it cannot be moved.
Ever since the world began, hath thy seat been prepared:
* thou art from everlasting.
The floods are risen, O LORD, the floods have lift up
their voice;
* the floods lift up their waves.
The waves of the sea are mighty, and rage horribly;
* but yet the LORD, who dwelleth on high, is mightier.
Thy testimonies, O LORD, are very sure:
* holiness becometh thine house for ever.

The Ninety-Ninth Psalm
Dominus regnavit.
THE LORD is King, be the people never so impatient;
* he sitteth between the Cherubim, be the earth never
so unquiet.
The LORD is great in Sion,
* and high above all people.
They shall give thanks unto thy Name,
* which is great, wonderful, and holy.
The King's power loveth judgment; thou hast prepared equity,
* thou hast executed judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
O magnify the LORD our God, and fall down
before his footstool;
* for he is holy.

GLORY be to God on high, and on earth peace, good will towards men. We
praise thee, we bless thee, we worship thee, we glorify thee, we give
thanks to thee for thy great glory, O Lord God, heavenly King, God the
Father Almighty.
O Lord, the only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ; O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son
of the Father, that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon
us. Thou that takest away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
Thou that sittest at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon
us. For thou only art holy; thou only art the Lord; thou only, O Christ,
with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

MY soul doth magnify the Lord, * and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my

The Second Lesson
St. Luke 24:44
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all
things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said
unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning
at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon
you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. And he led them
out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he
blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him, and
returned to Jerusalem with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.

ALMIGHTY God, Lord of heaven and earth; We beseech thee to
pour forth thy blessing upon this land, and to give us a fruitful
season; that we, constantly receiving thy bounty, may evermore
give thanks unto thee in thy holy Church; through Jesus Christ

O LORD, from whom all good things do come; Grant to us thy humble
servants, that by thy holy inspiration we may think those things which

Almighty and everlasting God, from whom cometh every good and perfect

dew of thy blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate

O God, the Creator and Preserver of all mankind, we humbly beseech thee
for all sorts and conditions of men; that thou wouldest be pleased to
make thy ways known unto them, thy saving health unto all nations. More
especially we pray for thy holy Church universal; that it may be so
guided and governed by thy good Spirit, that all who profess and call
themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the
faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of
life. Finally, we commend to thy fatherly goodness all those who are any
ways afflicted, or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; [* especially
